The Trax Float Steam Trap is a mechanical steam trap that removes condensate and air from steam systems while keeping steam intact. It's a type of inverted bucket steam trap that uses the difference in density between steam and condensate to operate. How it works
- The bucket is attached to a lever that opens and closes the trap valve
- When steam or air flows into the underside of the bucket, the bucket becomes buoyant and rises
- The bucket's motion opens and closes the trap valve
